My speech on my baby shower @CH Banquet hall, Marietta on May 23rd, 2021.
I would like to thank everyone for your presence for sharing your blessings and wishes for my son, baby Shiva, and our family. At this moment of happiness and celebration, I would like to share a toast to a significant person in my life, my husband, Vino.
A great human wonderful husband, if not him I could not get through this phase. Despite my health issues, I could handle pregnancy and confident it’s only because of him. Nothing can or no one can replace his care and love for me and my son.
He is the first person I met who saw me as I wanted this world to see me. Who treated me as I wanted the world to treat me, who respected me as I wanted this world to respect me and that’s why he is my husband.
He has been a prominent supporter, both personal and professional. I’m a blogger, a speaker, and doing a lot of things. Any dreams of mine are possible only because of him. He motivates me and extracts all the opportunities around for me to explore and make an impact.
Personally, we had a difference in opinions, but he took a firm stand to make things right. We worked together to sort out everything and today we have a lovely family. Without his confidence in our relationship or determination to make this work, this would have not been possible.
There is a saying, behind every man’s success, there is a woman. But with us it’s quite different, behind any of my success, small or big, my husband is there, from the day we met.
I’m not sure if I will be a wonderful mom or a parent, and I will not worry about it because I know Vino is going to be a brilliant father, a great parent as he is already taking care of one. Parenting me literally, he is being my second mom.
I love you, and thank you for all you do, and I mean it. If not you, relationship, marriage, and all these would have been a question in my life. If there is a day if you’re going to hate me, even then I will love you. A toast to my love.
